About

Asked six different ways why she became an attorney, Ms. Schaffner has the same answer. It’s about helping people get justice.

“I come from a divorced family,” she explains, “and I have been through the divorce process myself. So, I get this process from all angles.” Her experience has made her passionate about the benefits of Collaborative Divorce. She has seen the difference this approach can provide for families, especially when children are involved. “I truly believe it is a better way to move forward.”

Clients describe Tasha as competent, experienced, and intelligent. She knows that putting your future in the hands of a stranger is stressful and hard. That’s why she puts her skills to work strategizing to resolve challenges and analyzing tough emotional issues to find solutions. But if you need her to fight, she will.

Her practice focuses on all aspects of family law, including collaborative divorce, adoption, and assisting clients in reaching mediated resolutions that work for their family. She has litigated several cases through the appeals process, resulting in changes to Kentucky law affecting families.

Early in her career, Tasha litigated civil and criminal matters from traffic tickets to murder jury trials before choosing to focus solely on family law.

She is crazy about horses. When not riding or helping clients, Tasha relishes the opportunity for adventure traveling and trying out new wine varieties.
